I am a "God Seeker" and have been since I started my walk with the Lord in 1971. I have chosen to be called, anointed and appointed to fulfill my destiny in the Lord. It is my prayer that as you prayerfully read through these devotions that you will also become a "God Seeker" and to fulfill your destiny in the Lord. And if you already are,  join me as together we seek to be transformed into His image- the Highest High Calling-- to be like Jesus Christ.

I have been married for 36 years to my Pastor husband. Together we work in the ministry as he pastors a church in Columbus, Ohio. ~Donna Parsons



 
My husband Keith was ordained in the ministry in 1979. He traveled for many years with his family- preaching and singing.  We were married in 1989, and were associate ministers at New Covenant Church, Sunbury, PA for several years before being called by God to Ohio. He is founder & Pastor of "The Shepherd Apostolic Church & Christian Center” Columbus, Ohio.
 
We are fur-baby parents to a 11 year old English Lab- named Miss Emma.

Resurrection!

"But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus Christ from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you."  Romans 8:11  I am a few days late in my Easter posts. The weekend was great with family, friends and Church family celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We must keep in mind that He is no longer on that cruel cross, but in fact arose from the grave and ascended to heaven. Then He sent His spirit back to live in each on of us who will believe. (Acts 2). My redeemer lives! In our verse, Roman 8:11, we are promised that the same Spirit which raised Jesus Christ from the dead can live in us- today! It is not just for when we get to heaven. The Crimson Cross

"But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people" Psalm 22:6  When Jesus died on the cross, His blood was shed for the remission of our sin. He was the One and Only Supreme Sacrifice. That cross and the ground surrounding it must have had an eerie scarlet, crimson shade. As blood poured out of His body, onto the cross and onto the ground, it was to fulfill prophecy and to secure redemption for broken, sinful humanity- to all who will accept it. Psalm 22 was written by King David about 1,000 years before Christ was crucified, but it is a prophetic detail of what Christ endured on the cross.  The word "worm" is the Hebrew word "tola" . It describes a scarlet or grub worm. When the female of the species would give birth, she attached herself to a tree trunk, permanently, never to leave again. A Sweet Fragrance

  "Awake, north wind! Rise up, south wind! Blow on my garden and spread its fragrance all around. Come into your garden, my love; taste its finest fruits"  Song of Solomon 4:16 (N LT) I am having spring fever! "F or lo, the winter is past---the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land." (S/S 2:11-12 ) At least in my mind and my heart. Yes, I know- "Three snows after the forsythia blooms"- the old saying- and then comes spring. But in my heart, the forsythia is blooming now, and as for me we don't need anymore snow or cold.  I was reading this verse in Spurgeon's Devotional this morning- and it really set me thinking. The book of the Song of Solomon is a love story of the Church and Christ as depicted by a Shulamite woman betrothed to the Shepherd-King.
