"God’s splendor is a tale that is told, written in the stars. Space itself speaks his story through the marvels of the heavens. His truth is on tour in the starry vault of the sky, showing his skill in creation’s craftsmanship. Each day gushes out its message to the next, night by night whispering its knowledge to all—without a sound, without a word, without a voice being heard, yet all the world can hear its echo. Everywhere its message goes out. What a heavenly home God has set for the sun, shining in the super dome of the sky! See how he leaves his celestial chamber each morning, radiant as a bridegroom ready for his wedding, like a day-breaking champion eager to run his course. He rises on one horizon, completing his circuit on the other, warming lives and lands with his heat." Psalm 19:1-6 (TPT)
I love spending time in nature, watching the birds and butterflies and bees, the zany squirrels, seeing my flowers bloom, viewing a sunset or sunrise, watching how the clouds change their shape, even thunderstorms reveal the voice and glory of God. I see it as God's handiwork speaking to us today of His glory and grace. Slow down for a few minuets (or longer) and take in all that God is trying to say. Look for His hand in everything- for it is there. God's glory is in places which only the spiritual eye can see. Look for those small bursts of glory throughout your day. They are there- we just have slow our pace and see them with our spiritual eyes.
Dear Lord, thank You for the beautiful nature that You have created for us to enjoy. Every where I see Your creativity at work. You never cease to amaze me. Whatever the season- spring, summer, fall or winter- Your handiwork is on display. Thank You! Amen.
~Blessings, Donna
